2.Description of the Service

MangaLingo is a platform that lets you learn foreign languages by reading manga. While reading it offers word and sentence translation, vocabulary tracking, level measurement, practice and progress statistics.

Manga reading and word and sentence translation are offered free of charge to all users. Features such as automatic narration, word colouring, adding to the vocabulary and the review system, in-depth grammar analysis, end-of-chapter tests and grammar lessons are included in the Premium subscription.

The scope of the service may evolve over time; features may be added, changed or removed.

3.Account and User Responsibilities

• You are obliged to provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering.
• You are responsible for the security of your account and password; actions taken through your account are deemed to be yours.
• You may not transfer, sell or share your account with others.
• If you notice unauthorised access you must notify us immediately.
• One person may open only one account. Opening a new account to replace a sanctioned one is prohibited.

4.Community Rules

The following behaviour is prohibited in comment and chat areas:

• Insults, profanity, threats, harassment or hate speech.
• Spam, advertising, redirect links and repetitive content.
• Sharing obscene, violent or illegal content.
• Sharing other people's personal information without permission.
• Attempts to disrupt the technical operation of the platform or bypass security measures.

The platform uses a filter that automatically blocks inappropriate language. Attempts to bypass the filter also count as a rule violation.

5.Warning and Sanction System

When a rule violation is detected the content is removed and a warning may be recorded on your account. Sanctions are progressive:

• On the 1st warning only a notice is given; no restriction is applied.
• On the 2nd warning a 24-hour writing restriction is applied.
• On the 3rd warning a 7-day writing restriction is applied.
• On the 4th warning the restriction becomes indefinite.

Restrictions affect only your ability to write comments and chat messages. Your access to manga reading and your other rights arising from your Premium subscription continue.

Warnings expire automatically 6 months after they were recorded. Each warning is sent to you as a notification and states which content it was issued for.

If you believe a sanction is unjustified you can appeal by contacting destek@mangalingo.io. If your appeal is upheld your content is republished and the warning record is removed.

6.Premium Subscription and Payment

The Premium subscription is valid for a specific period according to the plan you choose. Fees and plan details are published and kept up to date on the Pricing page.

Payments are collected through the infrastructure of iyzico, a licensed payment institution. Your card details are never seen or stored by us.

• Premium ends automatically at the end of the period you purchased. There is no automatic renewal or recurring payment; each purchase is a separate payment you make yourself.
• There is no subscription you need to cancel: you continue to use Premium features until the end of the period you paid for. When it ends you can purchase again from the Pricing page if you wish.
• Price changes apply only to subsequent purchases and do not affect your current period.

7.Right of Withdrawal and Refunds

Under the Distance Contracts Regulation, the right of withdrawal for digital services ends once performance of the service begins. Because the service is made available immediately when you purchase a Premium subscription, you have no right of withdrawal after you start using it.

If you were unable to use the service because of a technical fault you can contact destek@mangalingo.io; the situation is reviewed and, where appropriate, a refund or an extension of the period is granted.

8.Intellectual Property

The manga content on the platform belongs to the respective rights holders and is provided only to be read on the platform. Downloading, copying, republishing or using the content for commercial purposes is prohibited.

The rights to the platform's design, software, brand and logo are reserved. They may not be used without permission.

If you believe that content infringes your copyright, contact us with information demonstrating your ownership; content is removed upon requests found justified after review.

9.User Content

You are responsible for the comments and messages you write. You declare that this content does not infringe the rights of third parties.

You grant us a limited licence to publish and display the content you share on the platform and to review it for moderation purposes where necessary. Your rights to your content remain yours.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates the rules without prior notice.

10.Service Continuity

The platform is not guaranteed to operate without interruption or error. Temporary service interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, problems originating from infrastructure providers or force majeure.

For planned maintenance, notice is given in advance where possible. If Premium subscribers are affected by prolonged interruptions, the subscription period may be extended accordingly.

11.Limitation of Liability

The platform is a tool offered to support language learning. AI-assisted translations and grammar analyses may contain errors; the accuracy of these outputs is not guaranteed and they should not be used for official, academic or legal purposes.

To the extent permitted by law, we cannot be held liable for indirect damages arising from use of the platform. In any case our liability is limited to the subscription fee you paid for the relevant period.

12.Suspension and Closure of Accounts

In the event of serious or repeated violation of these terms we may suspend or close your account. In such a case a proportional refund for your remaining subscription period is considered.

You can close your account at any time. When the account is closed your data is deleted within the periods stated in the Privacy Policy.

13.Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey.

The courts and enforcement offices of the Republic of Turkey have jurisdiction over disputes that may arise between the parties. For users who qualify as consumers, the relevant consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts have jurisdiction.

14.Changes to the Terms

We may update these terms. Changes take effect as soon as they are published on this page and the update date is refreshed.

For significant changes a notice is given on the platform. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the new terms.
